Indians pitcher Danny Salazar ran up his pitch count and failed to make it past the fourth inning Friday afternoon against the White Sox. The right-hander surrendered four hits and two walks while striking out nine over 3 2/3 innings of a 3-1 victory. He received a no-decision.

Salazar became the first starter since 1916 to strikeout at least nine in less than four innings pitched. He has allowed only one run over his last 13 2/3 innings pitched. He is scheduled to make his next start Wednesday at Kansas City.
