Olson went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Monday's 4-0 win against Cincinnati. Olson was credited with an inside-the-park homer in the third inning when Tyler Callihan injured himself attempting to catch a flyball in the left-field corner. The Atlanta first baseman has been a walk machine over his last 10 games, drawing 10 walks while posting a .378 OBP and nine runs scored. Overall, Olson is now slashing .225/.372/.417 across 148 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less

Braves' Matt Olson: Gets back on track Friday
Olson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Dodgers. It was Olson's first RBI since April 23, and he extended his on-base streak to 19 games Friday. During this streak, the star first baseman is batting a healthy .265 (18-for-68) with four home runs, two doubles, 10 RBI and 15 runs scored. Olson's pedestrian .418 slugging percentage in 2025 figures to see some positive regression at some point, as he entered the day with a top-notch 57.1 percent hard-hit rate on the season.... Braves' Matt Olson: Leaves yard Tuesday
Olson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jays. Olson's home run came in the sixth inning on a 412-foot blast to center field off Kevin Gausman. It was his first extra-base hit since he last homered April 4. Olson's surface numbers have been a bit unlucky, as he's been making good contact, but it hasn't led to many hits yet. He's been seeing the ball well, as evidenced by his 13:13 BB:K thus far. For the year, Olson's slashing .200/.342/.350 with two homers, nine RBI and five runs scored.... See More ... See Less -
Braves' Matt Olson: Goes back-to-back for first homer

After going hitless in his first three at-bats of the night, Olson went back-to-back with Marcell Ozuna in the seventh inning and singled to drive in two more runs in the eighth. While Olson is batting just .222 through 34 plate appearances thus far, the star first baseman does have five RBI, three doubles, three runs scored and seven walks across eight games.... See More ... Braves' Matt Olson: Flexing muscles in camp
Olson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Yankees. He went back-to-back with Austin Riley in the first inning off Marcus Stroman. The blast was Olson's second of the spring in 13 at-bats, and the 30-year-old first baseman will look to rebound this season after what was by his standards a disappointing 2024 campaign in which he produced "only" 29 homers and 98 RBI.... Braves' Matt Olson: Homers twice in rout
Olson went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, four total RBI and three total runs scored in Thursday's 15-3 win over Cincinnati. Olson got the scoring started with a solo shot off Julian Aguiar in the second inning before adding a three-run homer in the fifth, extending Atlanta's lead to 8-1. While it's been a down year overall for Olson, he's been on fire down the stretch, going 15-for-36 (.417) with a pair of home runs and 15 RBI in his last 10 games. The 30-year-old first baseman has boosted his slash line to .243/.326/.459 with 28 homers, 94 RBI and 76 runs scored across 647 plate appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -

He hasn't hit a home run since he swatted two of them Aug. 29. The first baseman is up to a .238/.317/.442 slash line with 25 homers, 86 RBI, 71 runs scored, 36 doubles and no stolen bases across 148 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Braves' Matt Olson: Drives in five runs
Olson went 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, five RBI and two runs scored in Monday's win over the Twins. Olson drilled a three-run homer in the first inning and drove in two more runs with a second-inning double, and he's now gone deep in back-to-back games. After hitting only 15 long balls through his first 106 games, Olson has eight over his last 25 games. The hot streak has pushed his season slash line to .230/.312/.432 with 52 extra-base hits and 71 RBI through 552 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Braves' Matt Olson: Goes yard Sunday
Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Nationals. Olson provided Atlanta's lone run in the game, tagging Jacob Barnes for a solo homer in the sixth inning. The first baseman has 22 home runs this season and is slashing .226/.309/.420 with 58 runs and 66 RBI in 547 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Braves' Matt Olson: Racks up six RBI in win
Olson went 2-for-4 with two homers, six RBI and two runs scored while also drawing a walk in Saturday's win over the Rockies. Olson walked in his first trip to the plate before launching a two-out grand slam in the third to put Atlanta on top 5-3. But the first baseman wasn't done there, adding a second long ball in the seventh to give him a season-high six RBI in the contest. Olson has now recorded multiple hits in three of his last seven games, batting .307 (8-for-26) over that stretch with four extra-base hits, eight RBI and three runs scored. It marked his second multi-homer game of the campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Braves' Matt Olson: Continues power surge
Olson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 4-2 victory against the Marlins on Thursday. Olson hit one of three Atlanta homers, swatting a two-run shot to right field in the first inning. The first baseman has gone deep in two straight games and in four of his past six contests, belting five homers and driving in eight runs during that span. While he's very unlikely to come close to the 54 long balls he racked up last year, Olson has given himself a shot to reach 30 homers for the fourth straight season with his recent power surge, as he's now up to 18 on the campaign.... Braves' Matt Olson: Goes yard twice in win
Olson went 2-for-4 with a walk and two solo home runs in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Brewers. The slugger took Freddy Peralta deep in the fourth inning before clobbering a Nick Mears offering in the eighth. Travis d'Arnaud followed up each blast with a homer of his own, as they became the third pair of Atlanta teammates to go back-to-back twice in a game -- Fred McGriff and David Justice accomplished the feat in 1993, with Javy Lopez and Andruw Jones also doing it in 1998. Olson's first multi-homer performance of 2024 comes as part of a hot streak that has seen him bat .290 (9-for-31) over the last eight games with four long balls and six RBI.... See More ... Braves' Matt Olson: Homers in back-to-back games
Olsen went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Sunday against the Mets. Olson's fourth-inning blast was his 15th of the season and plated three. After going nearly three weeks without a homer, Olson went deep Sunday for the second consecutive day. He now holds a modest five-game hitting streak, batting 7-for-20 (.350) during that stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Braves' Matt Olson: Snaps out of power slump
Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Phillies. Olson took rookie Michael Mercado deep in the second inning to break out of a 14-game homerless drought. It was Olson's second streak of 14 or more games without a homer this season after having only one such streak last season. The 30-year-old entered the game in a 10-for-65 slump with just two extra-base hits and three RBI in his last 18 games, so he'll perhaps now find some positive momentum heading into the All-Star break.... Braves' Matt Olson: Clubs 12th homer
Olson went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's 8-1 win over the Yankees. His fourth-inning shot off Carlos Rodon helped chase the southpaw from the game as part of a three-homer, eight-XBH barrage from Atlanta. Olson's bat has come alive in June, and through 74 plate appearances on the month he's slashing .309/.365/.574 with four of his 12 long balls on the year and 10 of his 40 RBI.... See More ... Braves' Matt Olson: On base four times in loss
Olson went 3-for-3 with a walk, a double and two runs scored in Sunday's loss to the Rays. The first baseman extended his hitting streak to 10 games, and his extra-base hit streak to five games, with another impressive performance. Olson is batting .410 (16-for-39) over that 10-game stretch, pushing his slash line on the season to .261/.342/.471 with 11 homers and 38 RBI in 69 contests.... See More ... See Less -

Olson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run in a 9-2 win against Tampa Bay on Saturday. Olson was part of a big fifth inning for Atlanta, swatting the team's third and final homer in the frame. The first baseman extended his hitting streak to nine contests, a stretch during which he is batting .361 (13-for-26) with two home runs and five RBI. Olson's 11 homers are second-most on Atlanta but are well off the pace of the 54 long balls he belted last season.... See More ... See Less
