Draft Scouting Report
Jackson Meeks is a well-built outside receiver with solid length and sizable hands, compensating for a lack of initial explosiveness with physicality at the release and through the catch point. While vertical separation is difficult, his surprising lateral quickness and effective fakes help him against press coverage. Operating primarily as an X-receiver, he excels on comebacks, digs and slants but struggles with defenders sitting on his routes. He shows flashes of after-the-catch ability but isn't a dominant YAC threat. Though he has some concentration drops, Meeks tracks the ball well in traffic. He offers solid mid-to-late-round value as a physical, contested-catch receiver.
