West Virginia vs. Virginia Tech: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the West Virginia vs. Virginia Tech football game
The Virginia Tech Hokies have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. They will square off against the West Virginia Mountaineers at noon ET on Saturday at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium. Both teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Everything went the Hokies' way against the Middle Tenn. Blue Raiders last week as they made off with a 35-14 win. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Virginia Tech had established a 28-7 advantage. RB Raheem Blackshear was the offensive standout of the game for Virginia Tech, punching in two rushing touchdowns.
Meanwhile, West Virginia kept a clean sheet against the LIU-Post Sharks last week and took the matchup 66 to nothing. With West Virginia ahead 38 to nothing at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Their wins bumped Virginia Tech to 2-0 and the Mountaineers to 1-1. After these two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
