Vanderbilt vs. Missouri Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Vanderbilt vs. Missouri football game
This Saturday, the Missouri Tigers are hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 37.14 points per matchup. They will take on the Vanderbilt Commodores at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday at Vanderbilt Stadium after a week off. Neither team wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable defeat.
Mizzou was expected to have a tough go of it two weeks ago, and, well, they did. They have to be aching after a bruising 35-14 loss to the Texas A&M Aggies. The Tigers were in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 28-7. Missouri's defeat came about despite a quality game from RB Tyler Badie, who punched in one rushing touchdown.
Meanwhile, the evening started off rough for Vanderbilt last week, and it ended that way, too. They were completely outmatched by the Mississippi State Bulldogs at home and fell 45-6. Vanderbilt was down 31-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. DB Mike Wright had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: he threw one interception.
Mizzou is the favorite in this one, with an expected 16-point margin of victory. Now might not be the best time to take Mizzou against the spread since they've let down bettors for the past five consecutive games.
The Tigers were completely in charge when the two teams previously met in November of last year, breezing past the Commodores 41 to nothing at home. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mizzou since the team won't have home-field advantage. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
