San Diego State vs. New Mexico updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the San Diego State vs. New Mexico football game
Game Recap
The New Mexico Lobos were expected to have a tough go of it on Saturday, and that's exactly how things played out. Things couldn't have gone much worse for them as they lost 31-7 to the San Diego State Aztecs. The Lobos won against San Diego State in their previous head-to-head in November of 2018, too, but their margin this time around was much wider than that 31-23 finish.
San Diego State QB Jordon Brookshire did work as he accumulated 130 passing yards in addition to rushing for two TDs and 45 yards. That's the most rushing touchdowns Brookshire has had all year. The Aztecs also got a significant boost from RB Greg Bell, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 111 yards.
The loss dropped New Mexico's record to 2-4. San Diego State's win brought them up to 5-0.
New Mexico will look to defend their home turf next Saturday against the Colorado State Rams at 7 p.m. ET. As for San Diego State, they will go up against the San Jose State Spartans at 10:30 p.m. ET next Friday at CEFCU Stadium. SJSU took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse San Diego State's good fortune.
