Oregon vs. Hawaii updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Oregon vs. Hawaii football game
Hawaii have enjoyed a two-game homestead but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Oregon Ducks at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Autzen Stadium. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more against one another.
Hawaii traveled a rocky road last season, and unfortunately for them the road doesn't seem to have gotten any smoother. They came out on top against Albany by a score of 31-20 on Sunday. The score was all tied up 17-17 at the break, but Hawaii was the (much) better team in the second half.
Hawaii can attribute much of their success to WR Steven McBride, who found the endzone twice on 72 receiving yards. McBride set a new season high mark in receiving touchdowns with two. Jalen Walthall did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 45 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Oregon beat Texas Tech 38-30 on Saturday. The over/under was set at 68.5 points, so nice work oddsmakers; you were right on the money.
QB Bo Nix looked spectacular while leading his team to the win, throwing for 359 yards and two touchdowns on 44 attempts. It was a true group effort though, as the team also got help from WR Troy Franklin, who scored a touchdown off of 103 receiving yards.
Not only did both teams in this Saturday's match win their last matches, they also took care of their bettors and covered the spread. Looking ahead, the game looks promising for Oregon, as the team is favored by a full 38 points. They finished last season with a stellar 8-4 record against the spread, so they might be worth a quick bet.
Their wins bumped the Rainbow Warriors to 1-2 and the Ducks to 2-0. Watch the contest and check back on CBS Sports to find out who keeps up the positive energy and who hits a stumbling block.
