Oregon vs. Colorado: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Oregon vs. Colorado football game
Get ready for a Pac-12 battle as the Oregon Ducks and the Colorado Buffaloes will face off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Autzen Stadium. Oregon should still be riding high after a win, while Colorado will be looking to right the ship.
The Ducks came out on top in a nail-biter against the UCLA Bruins last week, sneaking past 34-31. The victory came about thanks to a strong surge after the first quarter to overcome a 14 to nothing deficit. Oregon's RB Travis Dye did his thing and punched in four rushing touchdowns.
Oregon's defense was a presence as well, as it got past UCLA's offensive line to sack the quarterback four times for a total loss of 25 yards. Leading the way was DE Kayvon Thibodeaux and his three sacks. Thibodeaux now has five sacks this season.
Meanwhile, the afternoon started off rough for the Buffaloes last week, and it ended that way, too. Things couldn't have gone much worse for them as they lost 26-3 to the California Golden Bears. Colorado was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 23-3. QB Brendon Lewis had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: besides failing to produce a single touchdown, he threw one interception with only 4.06 yards per passing attempt.
The Ducks are the favorite in this one, with an expected 24-point margin of victory. Those who got lucky with them against the spread last week might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the squad has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
Oregon is now 6-1 while Colorado sits at 2-5. A couple stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Oregon is 197th worst in the nation in passing yards allowed per game, with 270.5 on average. The Buffaloes have experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the contest with the 230th fewest passing yards per game in the nation, having accrued only 125 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
