Notre Dame vs. UNLV: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Notre Dame vs. UNLV football game
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will stay at home another week and welcome the UNLV Rebels at 2:30 p.m. ET Oct. 22 at Notre Dame Stadium. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.'
Notre Dame was close but no cigar last week as they fell 16-14 to the Stanford Cardinal. If the result catches you off guard, it should: the Fighting Irish were far and away the favorite. No one had a standout game offensively for Notre Dame, but they got scores from RB Audric Estime and WR Tobias Merriweather.
Meanwhile, UNLV entered their game against the Air Force Falcons last week without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. UNLV played a contest they are hoping to forget as they lost a 42-7 blowout to Air Force. The Rebels were in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 28-7. QB Cameron Friel had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: despite one touchdown, he threw one interception and fumbled the ball twice with only 108 yards passing.
This next matchup looks promising for the Fighting Irish, who are favored by a full 26.5 points. Those burned by picking them against the spread last week might want to keep in mind that the squad has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.
The losses put Notre Dame at 3-3 and UNLV at 4-3. Notre Dame and UNLV are both 1-1 after wins this season, but that symmetry won't hold for long.
