Mississippi State vs. Louisiana Tech updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Mississippi State vs. Louisiana Tech football game
Game Recap
The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs weren't able to make up for their loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs from their previous meeting in November of 2018. On Saturday, Louisiana Tech lost 35-34 to MSU. Louisiana Tech was up 31-14 at the end of the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.
MSU's RB Jo'quavious Marks looked sharp as he punched in two rushing touchdowns in addition to snatching one receiving TD. QB Will Rogers didn't exactly stuff the stat sheet, but finished with three touchdowns.
A silver lining for Louisiana Tech was the play of QB Austin Kendall, who passed for two TDs and 269 yards on 36 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 68 yards. Kendall put himself on the highlight reel with a 59-yard TD scramble in the second quarter.
The game brought MSU to 1-0 and dropped Louisiana Tech to a mirror-image 0-1.
Louisiana Tech will be playing at home against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions at 7 p.m. ET next Saturday. MSU will look to defend their home turf next Saturday against the NC State Wolfpack at 7 p.m. ET. Like MSU, NC State is also coming into the contest bolstered by a recent win.
