Kansas vs. Texas Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Kansas vs. Texas football game
The Kansas Jayhawks and the Texas Longhorns are set to square off in a Big 12 matchup at 3:30 p.m. ET Nov. 19 at Kivisto Field at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. If the nothing to nothing final from the last time they met is any indication, this matchup will be decided by the defense.
The contest between Kansas and the Texas Tech Red Raiders last week was not a total blowout, but with the Jayhawks falling 43-28 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. Despite the loss, Kansas got a solid performance out of RB Devin Neal, who picked up 190 yards on the ground on 24 carries. Neal's longest run was for 63 yards in the second quarter.
Meanwhile, Texas came up short against the TCU Horned Frogs last week, falling 17-10. One thing holding Texas back was the mediocre play of RB Bijan Robinson, who did not have his best game: he rushed for 29 yards on 12 carries.
Their defensive unit accumulated five sacks for a loss of 38 yards. It was a group effort with six guys contributing.
Kansas is expected to lose this next one by 9. However, those who like betting on the underdog should be happy to hear that they are 3-1-1 against the spread when expected to lose.
The losses bumped both teams down to an identical 6-4. A couple stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: The Jayhawks rank 11th in the nation when it comes to overall offensive touchdowns, with 48 on the season. But the Longhorns enter the game with only 25 touchdowns allowed, good for 24th best in the nation. These opposing strengths should make for an exciting matchup.
