Chad Bumphis has been having some fun on Twitter. (US Presswire)

Mississippi State wide receiver Chad Bumphis finished his college football career this past season, but before he moves on to the rest of his life he wants to impart some words of wisdom to the future college football players.

Specifically the ones preparing to fax in their letters of intent on Wednesday.

Solid advice, I must say. Of course, the question here is whether or not Bumphis is being genuine in his advice, or if there's another motive out there.

Bumphis did play for Mississippi State, which happens to be the arch-rival of Ole Miss, and at the moment Ole Miss is making a killing on the recruiting trail. And in a rivalry like this, particularly in the SEC, no team can do such a good job of recruiting without fans from the other school assuming that they are cheating.

Hugh Freeze himself took to Twitter last week to tell any fans with evidence to feel free to email Ole Miss' compliance department.

So while it's possible that Bumphis is just trying to help out some fellow players, it's more likely that he's just taking a shot at his school's biggest rival -- as one of his follow-up tweets would lead you to believe.

Which is just another reason why college football is wonderful.
