CSU vs. NEV updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Colorado State vs. Nevada football game
Through 3 Quarters
Only one more quarter stands between the Nevada Wolf Pack and the victory they were favored to collect going into this night. It's looking more and more like their high-powered offense is just too much for the Colorado State Rams as Nevada lead 38-7.
The Wolf Pack have been riding high on the performance of QB Carson Strong, who has passed for four TDs and 299 yards on 23 attempts. The team has gotten extra help from defensive menace DB Jordan Lee and his nine tackles.
Colorado State has been led by TE Trey McBride, who so far has rushed for one TD and 69 yards on one carry in addition to catching six passes for 113 yards. That touchdown -- a 69-yard rush in the third quarter -- was one of the highlights of the game.
This is the least points Colorado State has had yet this year going into the fourth quarter.

What to Know
Get ready for a Mountain West battle as the Nevada Wolf Pack and the Colorado State Rams will face off at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday at Canvas Stadium. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Nevada fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Air Force Falcons last week but wound up with a less-than-desirable result, falling 41-39. That makes it the first time this season the Wolf Pack have let down their home crowd. A silver lining for them was the play of WR Romeo Doubs, who caught 11 passes for two TDs and 159 yards. Carson Strong's 61-yard touchdown toss to Doubs in the fourth quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the night.
Meanwhile, Colorado State didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 50-45 to the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors last week. Colorado State's defeat came about despite a quality game from QB Todd Centeio, who passed for five TDs and 527 yards on 47 attempts. Near the top of the highlight reel was Centeio's 69-yard TD bomb to TE Cam Butler in the first quarter.
This next matchup is expected to be close, with the Wolf Pack going off at just a 3-point favorite. Those burned by picking them against the spread last Friday might want to keep in mind that the team has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.
Nevada is now 7-4 while Colorado State sits at 3-8. Two defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Nevada is 195th worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with 18 on the season. The Rams have experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the matchup with the 193rd most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 19 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
