Appalachian State vs. Elon updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Appalachian State vs. Elon football game
The Elon Phoenix are staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Appalachian State Mountaineers at 3:30 p.m. ET Sept. 18 at Kidd Brewer Stadium. Elon will be strutting in after a victory while Appalachian State will be stumbling in from a loss.
Last week, the Phoenix won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Campbell Fighting Camels 24-23.
Speaking of close games: the Mountaineers were close but no cigar last week as they fell 25-23 to the Miami (FL) Hurricanes. A silver lining for Appalachian State was the play of RB Camerun Peoples, who punched in one rushing touchdown.
Appalachian State's defeat took them down to 1-1 while Elon's win pulled them up to 1-1. A win for Appalachian State would reverse both their bad luck and Elon's good luck. We'll see if Appalachian State manages to pull off that tough task or if Elon keeps their momentum going instead.
